Answers, in no particular order, to frequently asked questions

I live and am based in Toronto, Canada, but am willing to travel. I was in art schools for nine years, studying graphics and filmmaking. I got interested in still photography later.

I worked in the media full-time for about ten years, which is how I came to photograph so many people in the entertainment business.

Computers do not play a part in my photos. The colours and effects are achieved on set, in camera, through lighting and exposure. Some of the art directors I work with combine multiple images, but the look is already there. I use standard transparency and negative films with normal processing. The colours on the prints and transparencies are better than on the computer screen.

The women in the nudes range in age from 18 - 36. None of them are actual models, although a few used to be. "Meticulous" was my first solo show, and I approached the women. For "Slinky" they all approached me.

I am always looking for new models and interesting ideas.

Yes, I accept private commissions. Yes, I shoot commercial assignments.

The majority of what I shoot is on medium format, but I also use 35 mm a lot for journalism, 4x5 in the studio and quite a bit of digital, mostly for web-based and catalogue assignments.

I process all my own black and white negatives and do all my own printing, B&W and color, from negs and transparencies.
